MEC in North America announced Harman International Industries (http://www.harman.com), the leading audio and infotainment equipment company, has selected MEC as its global media agency of the record. MEC will be responsible for media planning, buying, implementation and partnerships.
MEC works with Harman in a number of international markets including China, Russia and the Netherlands. The appointment of a global management group led out of MEC Global Solutions in New York brings together a re-structure of marketing practices.
Jeff Willard, Chief Marketing Officer of HARMAN, commented, “As we continue to expand the global presence of our major brands like JBL and Harman Kardon, we felt we needed a single global solution. MEC has a proven track record with Harman in many markets around the world, and we believe this partnership will further strengthen our brands globally.”
“With all the young and vibrant talent at MEC, we certainly didn’t have difficulty finding a strong team eager to work with the leading audio brands and caliber of artist partnerships associated with Harman. They’re a really exciting client to work with and our people are very excited to have the opportunity to partner with Doner and Isobar to create great global programs which we can activate across all avenues of Paid, Owned and Earned media,” said Eamonn Store, President of MEC Global Solutions.
The search was conducted internally from the Harman International Industries headquarters in Stamford, CT. Harman manufactures a range of audio products such as loudspeakers and receivers to multimedia products to iPod docks for the home as well as premium audio and infotainment for automakers globally..
The new relationship begins immediately.
